I truly need one rn

i have long curly hair what u need
yeah i know a lot about curly hair just say what u need
Alright 4 years ago I used this hair relaxer from Walmart and it made my hair straight. Then I shaved it all off because my dad got mad and thought it was zesty. Then my hair grew out weird and my hairs texture was different than pre-relaxer. Everyone told me that it doesn’t change hair texture after you shave it off, so it was just puberty (I was 16 at the time). But whatever

^This is my hair currently and I’m growing it out.

This is my hair when it’s longer.

I just want to know what the best method to take care of it is. I have this weird biracial hair and I have people telling me it’s 3c, 4a, 3a mixed with other shit, I have no clue.

a) having different hair types on different strands of hair is completely normal, not all my hair is 3a, i have some 3c strands 2c strands and 3b strands

b) if something made ur hair straight it could have been because your hair was damaged from that thing, now what id to is since u did shave most of the damaged hair would be gone but i would still use something to repair it such as the k18 hair repair mask

c) Stop straightening and heat styling. Diffusing is really the only time you should use heat and even then lower heat should be used

d) wash hair once or twice a week max to retain oils and nutrients, overwashing is not good at all

e) conditioner is your friend, shampoo once or twice a week max and dont use a lot or a harsh stripping one and when using conditioner dont be afraid to use a lot, also use hair oils and leave in conditioner

f) no silicones, alcohol, parabenes sulfates etc>> to preserve hair, reverse damage too, not damage in the first place and help overall

g) you need to protect at night by using a satin or silk bonnet / pillowcase to minimize damage and after u wake up u take it off and refresh and in this part you will have to experiment as it depends how well your hair holds, if u have coils like 4a+ ur hair might hold really well and might not really need to refresh but if u have 3a hair which is less tight u will need to atleast get it damp and refresh somehow, whether u use just water or leave in or a tiny amount of product and style idk, i personally drench and restyle with leave in as of rn and its looking pretty good but its not perfect since its not been grown out for a long time

h) you are just going to have to wait as it grows out to see what really happens as if grown out and kept in care it could naturally repair itself or something tbh

i) the actual routine: on wash day, which u will have 1/2x a week max, u will be using a shampoo that is not too stripping but also works and then what i personally do is deep condition 15m on sunday and normal conditioner for like 8m wednesday but id say deep conditioner>
and then ur going to want to obviously leave that in and detangle super well, this might be pretty easy or difficult and then after that ur going to want to use products and style, for me a must is leave in conditioner so it 1) acts as a layer of protection and 2) moisturises etc
and then what i personally do is brush style and then just scrunch a bit of gel in for hold / definition, now however u style or what products is up to you whether its leave in, mousse, gel or just leave in, or a curl cream or whatever and how u style, whether u scrunch, finger coil, brush style or get it in a protective style like braids or sm but ur hair should be lasting atleast 2/3 days and obviously after products u either air dry or diffuse and then u might get a gel cast or sm which u can scrunch out normally or with oil depending on how hard it is

j) clarify with shampoo like once a month to get rid of build up

k) i use rosemary oil and a scalp oil 2x a week about 2 hours before washing, and i massage in both to scalp and then also get the rosemary oil in the ends

that should honestly be everything u really need

BRANDS: CAMILLE ROSE, AS I AM, MIELLE

i might write a massive guide which goes super in depth and has some of my techniques in it tbh

(solution and reps?)

tell me if u need anything else

Should I wait till my hair grows out more and then do all this or should I start now?

i use primary camille rose and then as i am for products, mielle isnt terrible but have heard some hair loss things about it over the years due to concentration changes or sm
