Because I have limited space on my desk, windows laptops utterly suck ass, desktops are clunky and expensive.

I have been thinking of getting a window's PC so I can have security running on all three platforms (windows, mac, linux) but the utter shit that is window's hardware manufactutors and their price/performance ratio is gross. but there's a mini pc i saw with a Ryzen 7 that looks to be pretty decent if you can run 60w on it

This isn't a mini PC. This is a small frame desktop. I just had one like a year ago with a 4090 on it and I sold it to some curry on facebook for 2 grand. I don't want to play games so integrated graphics are fine.

Dude I literally sold a desktop with a 4090 less than a year ago. i didn't play it at all, i would play aoe2 and lol and realize i could play that on my college laptop which is some chinkware from 2018. it just sucks, even when you are not gaming it burns so much power and makes heat. i have zero interest in playing games, integrated graphics/mobile gpus are fine

You are better off buying a Mac mini and a Steamdeck/PS5 that excel at both their purposes.
