I was going to buy one but thing is I dont see the point. Couldnt u just walk around or run around without a treadmill, why do you need to run in a stationary position.

A treadmill is just more convenient in every way. You don't have to walk to a track and you can do it in the comfort of your own home with your AC on while watching TV or even playing a game.
