He tried to do with Ukraine most recently and that resulted in failure, so unless Putin is willing to start wars all over the place and destabilize/demonize Russia even more then i don't think so, at most i think Belarus might become part of Russia 'peacefully' but with regards to every other post soviet country war is the only option for Putin.

Putin and his party are not socialists/communists, they are only nostalgic for the USSR because of how powerful it was. Putin does not give a fuck about the workers.

Also the majority of the Russians wanted to return to socialism in 1996 as Boris Yeltsin fucked everything up. However the US rigged the 96 election to make sure that Yeltsin won.


Even to this day the majority of people think life was better in the USSR and would want it to return. However there will need to be another workers revolution for that to happen.

The US got exactly what they wanted with Russia, however the bourgeoisie in Russia don't like the fact that the other capitalist imperialist countries don't treat them as equals.
So in any conflicts in the world involving the western countries Russia will back the opposite. And countries like Iran, China and Venezuela need to be sceptical when it comes to the support Russia provides because it's an enemy of my enemy is a friend situation.
