I went to Toronto for a weekend in 2018 and I legitimately thought I was in the third world. It was dirty, stinky, full of colored people, loud, postmodern - an overall embarrassment. I’ve lived in legitimately dangerous hoods better than that. I’ve been to major American cities like DC, Philly, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Boston, and Louisville and none of those were remotely close to how disgusting Toronto was.

I’d get out asap off of nothing more than a cursory experience.

I’m sure there’s far better places in Canada to go without having to leave the country. Apparently places by in that “Windsor” part of Canada across from Detroit (southwest of Toronto) have tons of normal people and towns, and even some Amish. Seems like a nicer place to live.
