I need to know the benefits and cons of taking this, it seems a lot stronger than finasteride and has less side effects I heard

I don't see why it would have less sides. It works through the same mechanism as fin. It's definitely stronger and nets slightly more hair.

Benefits of Dutasteride Over Finasteride:

✅ More Effective for Hair Loss – Dutasteride reduces DHT (dihydrotestosterone) levels by 90%, compared to finasteride’s 70%, making it more potent for treating hair loss.
✅ Longer Half-Life – Dutasteride stays in the body for 4-5 weeks, while finasteride clears out in 6-8 hours, leading to more consistent DHT suppression.
✅ Better for BPH (Enlarged Prostate) – Dutasteride shrinks the prostate more effectively than finasteride, improving symptoms like frequent urination.
✅ Potentially Fewer Side Effects for Some – Some users report fewer side effects, possibly due to more stable DHT suppression, but this varies by individual.

Cons of Dutasteride:

❌ Longer Half-Life Means Longer Recovery – If you experience side effects, they linger longer due to the extended half-life.
❌ Higher Risk of Sexual Side Effects? – Some studies suggest similar rates of sexual side effects (ED, low libido) as finasteride, but others indicate a slightly higher risk with dutasteride.

I want to take it when I get older only reason I hold off is that inhibiting type 1 5ar in rats decreases bone mass, fin only inhibits type 2 but dut inhibits both. 90% chance it doesnt apply to humans but still not risking it only to get a 20% increase in effectiveness
