need to lose weight, before next spring, and i thought this was the most convenient option for winter, even though i'm a med and live in a place where i could easily go jogging between late december and march

also, for most people, it's easier to get addicted to it and be consistent when you don't even have to leave your home

i just have 0 clue what to look for when choosing the model to buy

Generally cycling outside is better because you are less likely to get bored because of the views and traffic. Exercise will feel like a burden with an indoor bike rather than something enjoyable. For weight loss just walk as much as you can and the calories will add up quickly

i get your point, but i m the kind of person who's more likely to stick to the routine at home. also, i'd feel retarded if i was just randomly riding circles around the city for hours. walking is legit, but not economic time-wise. considering my job and other obligations, i can't really afford to spend 2+ hours per day walking around like an autist.

i'll start running/jogging when the spring comes and it feels natural and not tryhard, but, until then, home bike seems like the best option for me. specially considering i just recovered from an ankle/foot injury that has been preventing me from playing futsal and basketball for 2+ years

I will get my exercice bike for Christmas.

It's very convenient for the winter months, I do running too but since I'm an oldcel I get injuries if I run everyday (feet, knees..)

Indoor bike is good, you can even watch Youtube, Twitch, or a tv show while cycling at home

I don't do that for weight loss because I'm 52 kg auswitchzmaxxed

I do this for all the mental benefits (better mood, better blood flow, better sleep)

I will cycle at home almost everyday, and maybe once a week I'll go for a run
