I believe tinder has an elo system so if you did other experiments or used it yourself and got bad results its going to be harder now to get matches. But I never used it myself, just what I've heard from other users.

As far as matches they can come within minutes to an hour I think. Depends on a lot of things but if you're using a gl guy they should come pretty fast

Nothing too close to the face, that looks cropped, or anything too profesional, with a blank backround or filters/weird colouring
