Can my company see this? I am just going on LinkedIn and messaging people not even applying to jobs

Alot do have access to your laptop in someway, but how much access depends on the company. So some might see that your on linkden, some might just see that your online, and even some might have complete live access to your computer knowing exactly what you do

Idk about the legality of that in your country but they might be able to look at your history & other shit inside your computer

I am on an office wifi which is not linked to the company but I am using their device. Is it risky still?

Is it worth it? Or just use my phone to do it when I’m at work

Depending on the company policies and laws of your country, they probably can look inside the laptop you're using when you're not there

how strict is your company with that? Like do they get hostile or start harrasing if caught applying elsewhere? If so then just stick to using ur phone + mobile data. Else if they dont really care then using company device shouldn't matter, as long as your performance isnt getting affected

Who provides the wifi ?
It’s provided by a public office space where there are multiple companies in that office. I connect my personal devices to this network with no issue. The only concern is I am using the company device

Then your company can't directly check the wifi, but the office space might give them a report or idk
To be safe use your phone but as vexnaut said, if it is not affecting your performance and your boss isn't too strict then it's ok.
Don't go on .org like I do tho

So they can only track through wifi not the device itself?

They can but they probably won't if its a big company

What would you do?
If your employer is strict, I would do it on my phone / at home
Check the laws to see if it is legal for your boss to fire you for looking at other jobs during break or idk
Don't be less productive for that reason
