Approaching girls

I was in columbia MO for my sister's basketball game. I'm a decent-looking dude, 5'11 16 turning 17 and I get a decent amount of play at home, and towns and cities around I was walking with my brother at the hotel we were staying at, and I felt like a cold approach would be cool since im in a different city and knowing I already have 2 girls down here wanting to hangout but i just wanted to see my potentional succeses rate. Noting the opportunities were slim because its middle school ball, and I'm currently a junior, and to me anything below is gross. But luck struck, I found a good-looking female in my eyes, short blonde, but the only problem was that she was a hotel worker, so the odds of her being in her 20s to mid 20s was high because thats what im really intrested with I told my brother I was gonna approach I followed her (no weird shit), and she ended up walking towards me and I was walking in the same direction opposite sides from her and told her shes pretty she said "thank you" with a smile and I say whats your name and she said sorry not intreseted, I was like all good and moved on with my day.


Anything I could have done better? Any advice?
