Finished my first round of Aqualyx with my girlfriend yesterday and it was nothing, figured I'd drop a guide for whoever needs an all-in-one guide to do this.
Why should you trust me?
I did 2 full DIY injections (on me and then my girlfriend,) consecutively, one after the other, near perfectly, without any botches or issues.

So what is Aqualyx?
Aqualyx is a non-surgical, injectable treatment designed to reduce localized, stubborn fat deposits by destroying fat cell membranes. It uses a gel-based solution containing deoxycholic acid to liquefy fat, which is then naturally processed and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system. It is commonly used for body contouring on the chin, thighs, abdomen, and arms.
Why use Aqualyx instead of other fat dissolvers?
Aqualyx is often preferred for its established clinical history and versatility in treating dense, fibrous fat across the entire body, from the stomach and thighs to the chin. Unlike competitors like Kybella, which is primarily restricted to the double chin, Aqualyx uses a unique slow-release gel formulation that allows for more gradual fat breakdown and often results in less severe swelling and immediate downtime.
Why should I do it DIY instead of getting fat dissolvers done professionally?
The medical field in cosmetics is a mafia, you will most likely need 2 - 3 results to get the best results possible and Aqualyx (and other fat dissolvents,) can cost from 600 - 2400 (the latter is more realistic) per session, putting your total at around 2000 - 7000 if you are to do it "professionally." Doing it DIY will most likely cost you less than $100, it sure cost me less than that.
What results can I expect from 1 session of Aqualyx?
Generally, 1ml of Aqualyx equals to around a 30% fat reduction in the given area, most people need around 2 - 3 in total. This means in the cheeks (which is where most of you need it,) 1 session of Aqualyx will give you very noticeable results as long as it is actual stubborn fat and not just regular fat caused by you being obese.
What are the risks?
There are no significant risks to Aqualyx as long as you stick only to injecting it for your hyoid and cheek fat. Skin necrosis and botches are extremely rare and caused by issues with the needle's length and penetration. Do not inject it into your buccal fat pad (you won't have any significant results and it's also super risky as it's deep in your cheek.) And I generally wouldn't recommend injecting into other areas, as besides the cheek area, the lack of prominence in your zygo or mandible is more likely due to your lack of bonemass, not stubborn fat around those areas. Another risk people will commonly cope with is that you may have "uneven results," and this is just stupid because Aqualyx has natural looking, overtime results (as previously stated, 1 session is a 30% reduction in given area.) This means that even if you do mess it up a little, it will most likely come out looking fine. Your face is never fully symmetric anyways, just do your research and make the graph on your face well and you will be fine.
What age can I do this at?
Any age over 14 honestly is fine for 1 session of Aqualyx. One session removes 30% of the fat in given area, so you're fine to do it if you're 14+, know for sure it's stubborn facial fat, and know what you're doing (which isn't super complicated at all.)
What body fat/type should I have to do Aqualyx?
A BMI below 25 and a lean body is ideal. Do not do Aqualyx if you're just a LDARing fatcel. Lose the weight, you may not have to do Aqualyx. This is only for people that have stubborn face fat that doesn't go away even with training and a decently low body fat percentage (16%>.)

I did my cheeks, and I followed a guide from another member on the forum who did this, so I will rightfully credit them and use their tutorial for cheeks:
The goal of this technique is even distribution. By using many small "micro-droplets" rather than a few large deposits, you minimize the risk of looking bloated and ensure the product integrates smoothly.

Why No Pain Killers/Topical Anesthetics?
You may have noticed that I didn't include a topical anesthetic like lidocaine to help with the pain, this is because for your first session, I fully believe you should do it without it, as the pain if done right, is just moderately uncomfortable as opposed to severe pain. Chronic pain is a sign you botched yourself (which is statistically unlikely however should still be averted.) The issue is that with anesthetics, they shield off all the pain, including pain you'd feel and would be an immediate telltale sign that you've messed things up.
Signs You Succeeded:
Swelling - The treated area will likely feel firm, look swollen, and may feel tender within the first 24–48 hours. The more you swell in this initial phase, the more you are responding to the treatment. Swelling generally subsides over the following 3–5 days.
Tenderness and Numbness - "Aching" Sensation: A feeling of tenderness or a dull ache in the treated area is common, often described as similar to bruising or the feeling after an intense workout. You may experience numbness or a tingling sensation in the area.
Mild Bruising and Redness - Mild bruising at the injection sites is normal and usually settles within a few days. Redness and warmth around the injection site are common signs of the body's natural inflammatory response to the fat cell destruction.
All of these symptoms should go away after around 5 - 7 days.
Signs You Messed Up:
Persistent Redness - Redness or warmth lasting beyond 72 hours.
Infection Signs - Pus, fever, chills, or skin that is "hot, red, and shiny."
Severe Reaction - Difficulty breathing, hives, or intense, worsening pain.
Skin Necrosis/Skin Irregularities - Large, hard nodules or skin necrosis (rarely reported with poor technique).
Please bear in mind that the symptoms above are extremely rare unless you are genuinely an iqlet and inject your aqualyx with a butcher knife at a 180° angle.

1. Preparation & Mapping
Before opening any products, you must map out your face. This is the key to avoiding asymmetry.- Draw Your Grid: Use a makeup pencil to mark 16 injection points on each cheek.
- Check Symmetry: Stand directly in front of a mirror to ensure the dots on the left side perfectly mirror the dots on the right.
The graph should look something like this: (Courtesy of @iamomni)
2. Dosage Breakdown
- Total Volume: 2ml (1ml per cheek).
- Per Point: Inject 0.06ml into each of the 16 pre-marked dots. Inject at around a 45° angle.
3. Execution Tips
- Be Consistent: Maintain the same injection depth for every point to keep the surface texture even.
- Stay Organized: Follow your grid in a specific order (e.g., top to bottom) so you don't lose track of which points have been treated.
