i look like i’m fucking schizposting rn but im legit getting 0 answers and i need to know whether orthotropic appliances are legit for curing a deep bite by expanding palate yadayada or get braces with elastics which will recess maxilla(idk if it’s true) or what i should do

In most cases it will do much more good than harm. If you're like 10 and wear retainers there is an actual risk of noticeable recession

i mean i’m not even badly recessed i just wanna fix it , the cause is i think retroclined lower incisors so pushing those teeth out with expansion with orthotropic devices might be plausible im just tryna find out if it’s legit or not, seen many mixed opinions

plus me having a narrow palate is even more fuel for me to look into orthotropic appliances such as a biobloc for expansion while also fixing my bite, idk if 16 is too old tho

Ideally you would want to get a palate expander then braces with no elastics
