I have braces on and have had them for like a bit over a year to fix a deep bite, I thought it was mandatory because the bite makes me look worse but is it going to make my forward growth worse and make me look recessed.

no teeth removed atm I don't think they will because im moving on to bands soon which means im like 6 months until the process is done

Yes, unless you get a palate expander or reverse-pull headgear paired with bands. Then it actually might help your forward growth

It's still going to interfere with the natural growth pattern of your maxilla and shit but not as bad as it would be with extractions
