Are braces or invisalign better?

I've heard stuff of braces fucking up ur maxilla or some shit

My orthodontist said I can pick which ever I want, he said I don't need a palatal expander

Idc about which one is cheaper or easier just the result. My teeth are kinda crooked, not horriblyyy noticeable if I smile with my upper teeth, but you can tell they aren't straight
