like when you can't see the ears of a person from the front
is this a good or bad thing in terms of PSL?
it certainly is better than dumbo low IQ protruding ears

thoughts?

Depends on transverse proportionality, as long as outer fifth (from lateral canthus to most laterally protruding point of ear) is equal to eye width it’s fine (assuming malar projection is laterally outwards enough to interrupt facial outline, otherwise head appears like a thumb as above)
