are masseter muscles supposed to feel extremely soft?

My masseters feel EXTREMELY soft when non flexed. Are they supposed to feel like this?

Edit: Ik it’s a low IQ question but I’m just wondering.

Feel your bicep flexed vs not flexed.
All muscles are soft when they aren't flexed.

My bicep feels soft but has some firmness to it when non flexed. My masseters just feel soft. When I tilt my head to the side my masseters start to get a firmness. Idk bro
