They are dope as fuck but apparently everyone says you can get absolutely fucking obliterated easily. Like the smallest accident could leave you fucked up for life. A big one is life ending. Just get a dirt bike and have fun off-road but don't ride on the highways, it's pointless.

If you go full retard mode and ride dangerously, yeah you can be fucked for life; if you look it up, most accidents happen due to excessive speed or lack of attention (which will be potentiated due to a high velocity).

I had a few small accidents, but not something big and all of them happened because I was paying zero attention and was going too fast.

So, the deal is, if you know what you are doing the probability of death or injury will be as low as a car, but if you are some retarded squid that likes to go full throttle every time it steps foot on one, it can be fucking deadly.

Despite only being a 300 with 42 hp; it still has quite a quick because it can accompany sports cars in the 0-100 km/h range and I've raced with friends with potent cars and the power as quite similar in terms of acleration.
The feeling of going fast and accelerating is what makes motos so compelling to have, and don't get me wrong, it is funny to ride, but we ought to know when to go fast and when not to.

Probably a combination of many things, we have the worst drivers and roads from Europe here, few of them respect the rules, we have the most accidents and riding the bike at fast speeds is just asking for trouble.

It's a good beginner bike, that's why I have it; it has ample power and goes well best to speeds until 100 km/h, it's a streetfighter and if you don't want anymore power it's almost enough for a lifetime of riding. I actually do think it's the perfect beginner bike because it's not too slow nor to fast, it competes with like 95% of cars and few motorcycles, and you just won't fell underpowered (unless to 600 cc bikes).
Another option is the MT-07 and that in all certainty will have more than enough power for a lifetime, the cons is that it is a bit more expensive and it requires more skill to maneuver; my father actually though about buying a 700 cc but we went with the 300 because it's friendlier and I don't have the license for it.
