Kids in kindergarten I grew up with usually believed in ghosts, devils, paranormal activities, souls, zombies/vampires, afterlife.... despite parents/teachers telling them these things don't exist. Are we predisposed to be believers in something we can't sense?

A lot of it has to do with a ton of media and stuff that kids watch and play having zombies and ghosts and so on

I think for them its more that they just find it cool, wouldnt say its something inherent.

Anything beyond our senses, aka 4d

If you were to take a baby on some deserted island and let it somehow survive on it's own without influencing their worldviews, they would most likely end up being a believer
humans are wired with a built in believing in greater power, It’s like the original survival cope. From ancient times all the way to modern society, people NEED to believe there’s some higher life form watching over the chaos. Think about it, every civilization ever made up some god, spirit, cosmic ruler, whatever. That’s not random; that’s the human soul trying to make sense of the world. Our natural purpose is to seek the ultimate cause

Examples to why we ARE intrinsically theistic
- We naturally question things
- We can’t handle the idea of pure randomness, it’s scary.
+ society would collapse if the concept of God did not exist

Examples of how we AREN’T automatically theistic
- some ppl don’t possess a soul, so they don’t question things
- ‘atheistic’ ppl treat being theistic/spiritual as a DLC (even though they aren’t atheistic I’ll get that later on)

Atheist claim
Ppl who reject gods and formal faith, cannot escape the impulse to revere something greater than themselves. They consecrate science, morality, ideology, or the pursuit of personal purpose, devoting themselves with a zeal indistinguishable from worship. In this way, every mind chooses a “higher cause,” a force to anchor existence and give meaning to life. (Most atheists believe in objective morality & believing in that makes u indirectly believe in a eternal entity)

My conclusion is that at the core, humans are still inherently theistic in impulse because we need the idea of a higher power to function as a society, the fear of a godless, purposeless universe is too heavy for most people, so we create meaning, whether through religion, science, or some higher principle that gives structure. (This is does not prove God’s existence but he does exist)
