Are selfies accurate?

When some people take pictures of me I feel like I look better and even girls ask for my sc based on pictures/videos from a distance, but when I use the front camera I get roasted pretty hard, called ugly, ghosted.

I have the same problem, it's all about angles. I look shit if I take a picture on a bad angle. Try to use the back camera with flash instead, and try to take the pic at a good angle. Most people look bad in selfies, including me.

here's an example, the first pic is with the back camera flash, and the second one is a normal selfie in good lighting.

Pretty accurate yes. You can cope by saying

No there is lens distortion

but that only knocks you down by a point at absolute worst, more likely just half of one.
