1. DNA tests aren't accurate. They lack enough SNPs and they lack fine resolution SNPs. That alone is enough to put a question mark on their head, but they also have poor reference populations. They also don't consider your whole ancestry. So this is meaningless. You can't know your ancestry unless you have a research grade test. It is not possible for a Spaniard south of Basque County to lack North African ancestry. It is also is NOT possible for a Southern Italian to lack notable Middle Eastern ancestry; that is a CORE part of their ancestry. So this means nothing.

2. Are Southern Euros "ethnic"? What does one mean by "ethnic"? Ethnicity is about a common culture and customs although it is a social construct like "race". If you are talking about skin colour, then most Southern Europeans cannot be fit into "white" or "non-white" boxes. There is a lot more genetic and phenotypic diversity in the South of Europe than in its North
