Ive been working part time for a little over minimum wage at a cafe for the last year. I make 18/hr but I don’t work that much, thinking of quitting and looking for a server position at a restaurant.

Worth it?

Can be really worth it you get a position at a mid to high tier restaurant. Friend of mine was making the equivalent of like 35-40 an hr working as a server. But just be prepped for a dead or nights where you might make the equivalent of like 15-20hr.

Yea I don’t know if it would even out, the thing I like about my position right now is I get paid the same amount to sit on my phone as I do actually doing my job

I worked in a high class restaurant and earned 18 an hour plus every guest gave a 20 euro tip, I made more from tips than my wage
