Are wide cheekbones the same thing as high cheekbones?

I was told that I have a diamond face shape which means the cheekbones are the widest part. But I don’t understand if that’s a good thing? Is it different from “prominent” or “high” cheekbones.

They aren't synonymous. Wide cheekbones mean that they protude out laterally, whereas high cheekbones are the vertical positioning of them. Sean O'Pry for example has very high cheekbones, wide round cheekbones however are common in East Asians

There is a clear difference but they are both considered prominent cheekbones no? I think the Asian guys cheekbones are more noticeably prominent. Is it possible to have wide yet flat cheekbones?

I think the photo of Sean O'Pry may be photoshopped to be more protruding or it's frauded by lightning. Higher cheekbones usually are less protruding, the picture was just used give an example of the positioning. O'Pry's would be considered high-set but low mass whereas the Asian has lower-set ones but with more mass
