Yes, my university was focused on liberal arts and soft sciences, the majority of students there were girls - the campus, besides the university buildings also had dorms, activity clubs, a park, there were also bars, restaurants, nightclubs and an amusement park in the area, the whole place was like a small town inside a larger city where the population was mostly made from young college girls...

While I've spent many years there, where it seemed like an ideal place - tons of girls and little competition from other guys, I was still invisible to most of the girls, since I'm short and below average looking, many of them had boyfriends from other places or universities, they would actively travel far away to find better guys.
Male students at the Military, Police or Navy Academy for example where highly desirable by girls, because they tended to be tall, robust with manly, well-developed faces; they had a much more restrictive student life, they lived like in the Army, in a male-only campus, they were only allowed to leave for a few hours each day, or during the weekend with special permission, but they had no problem with the girls - the girls would actually come to them, walk casually near their campus, chat with them through the fences, sneak inside at night, etc. When these guys were out during the weekend they would regularly clean the bars and nightclubs of all the girls, it was impossible to compete with them.

So, as you can see, the place you are doesn't really make much of a difference, you can be surrounded by girls and still not get any, if you don't have what they consider attractive, while if you are attractive the girls will still find you somehow.
