I'm worried I might be but haven't noticed concrete signs, just a bit of hair coming off when I apply shampoo and the corners of my hairline being a little far back. Worried I might placebo it into existence...

I trim it to nil by a trimmer, but not clean shaving scalp. Also, usually maintain short beard/longer stubble.
Thankfully, skull shape is fine for that and facial features compensate a but. Would be horrible otherwise.
"Egg" or "alien" skull shapes are "over" tier for balding. Thin neck also tends to look bad with it.

And of course, there is worse treatment by girls.
When I was putting photos with hats/caps on dating apps, but then sent photos without them, most girls were disappointed, colder treatment and some outright blocked me after that. So, since then, I put bald photos, so such girls would filter themselves out.
What I noticed, however, is that girls who have bald father/grandfather/siblings or other relatives, tend to be easier on that.
Also, pretty much everyone agrees that with nw3.5+/nw4+ having shaved/trimmed to nil scalp is better than trying to keep that hair longer (you should absolutely try to prevent/reverse it or do hair transplant but you shouldn't rock with nw3.5+ hairline like it's normal).
And, since I'm more on "masc" side, it attracts older girls or lower quality, single moms and such.
Younger and more educated almost universally prefer prettyboys here.
