I would say 99% of black people regardless of origin, unironically believe in some form of spirituality, religion or magic. look at this thread on Lipstick Alley (a Forum made for black American women) A lot of them genuinely believe that the woman who stabbed the Asian cop was under the influence of spirits and not just chimping out.
