Are you more of a Caesar guy or Augustus guy?

I have to say I quite like Caesars attitude of forgiveness and kindness towards his fellow romans.
But at the same time I'm aware this guy ended up getting stabbed to death by a room full of niggas, so this attitude didn't quite work out for him in the end (well really he only got stabbed to death by like 2 people, rest just got in on it after he was already dead).

Augustus was a far greater statesman, and he was much more cutthroat.
But at the same time, he never would have been as successful as he was if it wasn't for Caesar.
If he hadn't inherited Caesars name (he was literally just known as "Julius Caesar" back then btw, "Augustus" is just what historians call him) he would probably have ended up a nobody. His entire rise to power was just based on him being Caesars successor. He just piggybacked off of the good will people had for Jules. And unlike Caesar, he was also a pretty shit general too. He piggybacked in that regard too, in this case off of Agrippa. But yeah, once he was in power, he was far more effective than Caesar.

All in all, I think Caesars rise to power was much more impressive, but Augutus managed being in power much more efficiently.
It's a question of gaining power vs keeping it.

Definitely more like augustus, i like building on and continuing an existing legacy more than pioneering a new one
