Argument with grandparents at dinner table over vegetables (old science)

I was eating chicken breast and 6 eggs after my workout to get rest of macros in and my grandparents came to my house and started arguing with me over why i need to eat “green vegetables” and why too much protein is bad (keep in mind i eat 175-200g) so i tried explains why i don’t need them due to getting vitamins from other sources and that they are high in antinutrients and fiber which is not needed and they just straight up told me that those things are needed for a balanced diet My grandpa is about 5’9 and well over 300 lbs 😭 old people science bro why would i ever listen to him

No i just don’t care for vegetables other than sweet potatoes and would rather eat eggs, ground beef, chicken

no need for sweet potatoes, theyre higher in oxalates and slightly less nutrients (such as potassium) as opposed to regular potatoes. their only clear advantage is vitamin A but you should be getting that from animal sources
