Aromatase is an enzyme that converts androgens (like testosterone) to estrogens

An Aromatase Inhibitor is something that blocks aromatase

Less Aromatase = Less Estrogen produced.

You don't want to get on AI's before 18, since estrogen is crucial for brain development
oh and

estrogen pulses are responsible for closing your growth plates

so if you have less estrogen your growth plates close slower

They will stop the conversion of test into estradiol, which I’ll stop side effects like gyno and other estrogenic effects while using androgens

In short, aromatase inhibitors are used to delay growth plate fusion because
oestrogen not testosterone is what actually signals bones to stop growing. By blocking the aromatase enzyme, the body produces less oestrogen, which keeps the growth plates "open" longer and provides more time for vertical growth. This is typically managed by paediatric endocrinologists for boys with specific growth delays. While it can increase predicted height, the actual results vary, and it carries risks like reduced bone density or abnormal joint development, so it’s definitely not something to mess with without the correct knowledge and weighing the positives and negatives, but hey whatever it takes to ascend right?
