DNR if you aren't a curry.
Arranged marriage is nothing more than a business transaction. The man provides his generational wealth, money, car, house in exchange for a good looking, light-skinned woman.
Men weren't expected to look good back then, as money was the primary consideration for choosing a groom.
There is/has never been any concept of "true, pure love".
This, imo is part reason why most Indians are ugly. Low quality genes were allowed to propagate due to a disproportionate level of importance given to money over looks. This violates nature and evolution's primary motive.
But things have changed slightly nowadays. Feminism has allowed women to be more empowered and independent when it comes to income. Thus, the relative importance of the man's income in the arranged marriage market has diminished.
This diminution has been substituted by - drumroll please- LOOKS.
Men who "earn" their right to marrying a relatively attractive girl by leveraging their income now have to deal with keeping her attracted to him. If he fails to do so, she cheats, they get divorced and the man gets his bank account raped and his house stolen from him. Gynocentric laws thanks to our cuck judiciary only worsens this issue.
This issue gets exponentially worse when the girl has had an ex and is no longer a virgin. Her expectations from her future husband rise even more since she has had her heart broken by Chadpreet while in college.

Although money can get you a good looking wife, if you don't look good enough she will cheat on you with Chadpreet and your bank account will be looted in the process.

In my school there was this girl who had dated a guy for 6 months. Guy had more appeal than her, he was brown and 5'6-5'7 but had a good face, she was like 5'4, L-MTB.
Anyway, they sexted(idk if they had full-fledged sex), went out multiple times and did everything one would do in a relationship.
After 5 months she starts demanding him to marry her :jfl: Keep in mind these are 16-17 year olds from DELHI. (super conservative north Indian parents)
The guy gets pissed and breaks up.
She was SO emotionally broken over until the end of the year (when she found another guy :jfl: )
It is hard to express in words how emotionally fucked up she was.
Just imagine this. There is close to ZERO chance that she says this story to her future husband.
She will definitely have to get married btw because she once told me something about her parents telling her to get arranged marriage or sumn.
Absolutely OVER for that husband.

Atul Subhash, a resident of Manjunath Layout in Bengaluru, was found dead in his apartment on Monday. In a 25-page suicide note, he alleged harassment by his estranged wife and her family.
The note detailed claims that false cases had been filed against him, accompanied by demands for Rs 3 crore to settle the disputes. He also accused the family of demanding Rs 30 lakh to grant him visitation rights to his four-year-old son. In addition to the note, he recorded videos before taking the extreme step.
A four-member Bengaluru police team travelled to Jaunpur on Thursday to serve summons at the Singhania residence. However, the team found the family’s home locked, and neighbours indicated that they had fled the locality on Wednesday past midnight.
The deceased's video went viral on social media following which the case drew widespread attention, highlighting the emotional and legal challenges involved in matrimonial disputes.
