speaking from person experience. no matter how much you try to control things, some shit always happens and your peace of mind is ruined.
in 2019, i quit my band because i was tired of listening about their slay stories. i was feeling good but it didnt last long. i met a girl and she completely shattered my worldview.
then i made some improvements in 2022. i was feeling better.... until i joined the military. and in the military, when you are in a room with 20 strangers and sleep deprived your ability to think rationally deteriorates so you become more emotional, lamenting over your miserable experiences with women and thinking that you didnt try hard enough even thought you stood no chance.
the world is out there to make you feel bad about something that wasn't in your cards. people dont give two shits about your feelings, you will have to take rejection and failure in your face and keep going like nothing happened, not for yourself but for society. JFL.
