I asked 40 girls on Snapchat and Instagram (ages 16–24). I showed them regular photos of Chico and Welling, no edits. I asked which one matches the prime Justin Bieber type more, like the late-teen heartthrob look. I Only Added Non Black Girls, IDC About That There Just Not...
28 out of 40 picked Chico. Most said he looks more like the kind of guy girls obsess over in high school. They mentioned softer features, better hair, and that he looks more “famous” or model-like.
12 out of 40 picked Welling. They said he looks more masculine and mature. A few said they would personally date that type now, but agreed it’s different from the classic Bieber look.
What I noticed is that the softer, prettier look got more emotional reactions, while the more masculine look got more respect. The majority associated prime Bieber with boyish facial features rather than strong masculinity.
Conclusion: when people think of that era, they picture a softer, pretty-boy face more than a fully masculine one.
NOT MY OPINION ITS THE GIRLS OUTCOME NONE OF THIS IS MY OPINION EXCEPT Black Girls Thing.
