People call me skinny, although I have like 18% bodyfat. Im Im already a little bit bloated, should I cut first oder should I get some muscles first, be bloated, and then cut? Im 147 pounds, height 5'9 to 5'10

Cut to 12 -15% range. Fat turns natural test into estrogen, so less fat you have, easier it is to add muscle. Dirty bulking is just water and sugar bloat from excess insulin effect. Get lean and strong.

If ur a beginner u can put on some muscle while cutting. Besides losing bodyfat should be ur number 1 priority. So cut to 10-13%

For fucks sake you guys really need to understand something

Skinny =/= Lean

if you're fucking skinny and not lean you have to get lean before doing anything

Maybe I should cut to 12% once just to see how I look non bloated

Gonna be auschwitz cel but prob worth it.
😂 Trust me, you'll love how you look near the single digits. It's hard, but worth it. Just eat clean, low fat, no intense cutting deficit, and you should be good.

Why low fat tho, I thought thats irrelevant as long as you eat enough protein and remain in a caloric deficit

Fat and grease can worsen your gut microbiome, of which when uncared for causes significant indigestion, gas, and bloat in the face/abdominal areas. I try to stay on low fat diets similar to how I stay on low sodium diets to control that stuff. But fat is still very important, obviously, just don't overdo it.

So you would say, eating carbs to get to your calories is better? I thought carbs were the main reason for your body to look bloated. My daily protein caloric intake would be 500 calories, still have 1000-1200 more to fill.

You look a little lower than 18% to be honest. More like 16% if you’re not flexing but maybe it’s just good lighting. Regardless get down to 11 and then lean bulk. But don’t try to lose weight too quickly or you’ll lose mostly muscle. Eat plenty of protein and eat at a minus 500 calories deficit for like 6 weeks and then see where you’re at.

I mean, assuming you're only consuming the amount of fat you need to reach your calorie goals, stick with your current way of doing things. You're right: carbohydrates do cause bloat a lot worse. Yogurt is a great food with fat that still helps balance out bloat due to its effects on your microbiome.

Thanks will consider @asiannickghur
Maybe Im 17%, but thats the minimum, not lower than that. Will try to do a 500 caloric deficit daily (more like 600-700, but once a week or so Ill eat at slight surplus for metabolism gains, so it balances out to 500).
Considering I need to get to 11%, I have to lose 10 pounds of fat, gonna last two whole months..
