American politics is an absolute joke and all about money.Honestly it is quite pathetic that I as an immigrant am more socially aware of American politics and political climate in america than Americans themselves jfl. Most of these muricans especially MAGA fans are complete sheep @FaceandBBC @jeoyw9192
I wouldn't bother conversing with dumbasses here that don't know an ounce of geopolitics and poison threads instead of conversing like normal human beings.Read my thread on this

MAANG and Big Tech are ready to pay the H1B fees
Finally there's some clarity on this matter. It will not be an annual fee but one time fee for new applicants thag will apply from next year and people outside of the country, don't have to rush to escape payment and the ones that already have H1Bs can travel outside the country without...looksmax.org

Offshoring will probably be even bigger issue, but lots of companies try it and just can't do it. Ive seen companies time and time again revert back to inhouse.Read this

Talking to MAGA is like talking to bunch of kidsAmerican politics is an absolute joke and all about money.
might have to pivot to medical tbh, legit cant go wrong
Definitely true but it also depends on the domain. My domain which is Devops is very work from home friendly. Some companies even prefer it because you can take advantage of timezones to be on call at all times but it depends embedded systems and VLSI is notoriously difficultOffshoring will probably be even bigger issue, but lots of companies try it and just can't do it. I guess we'll have to see how it plays out, eiether it will be a blessing for US students or everything will be offshored to shit.Definitely true but it also depends on the domain. Not really I have other job offers overseas. I knew this was coming but most companies I know are offshoring stuff either that or running apprenticeship/graduate programs to upskill Americans to fill the missing roles. I don't know what's going to happen in the future either. Most industry experts are pretty divided on the issue since Silicon Valley practically runs on foreign brain power.I guess we'll have to see how it plays out, eiether it will be a blessing for US students or everything will be offshored to shit.
In my eyes it seems like a win if you are a highly skilled US citizen. Are you relying on H1b?
