Well i mean swimming doesnt have like team vs team really, you just swim in ur lane and hope u go fastest

Whereas in waterpolo or football or most sports u have to confront foes and outsmart and best them lol

Athlete = status, means your well connected and appear to have a lot of friends even if it's not true, shows you have drive and determination, are physically fit, have Chad friends, and are doing something with your life. You have a powerful tribe. But even if it's a personal sport like wrestling, you're still shown to be durable, strong and hardworking. It's not all about the tribe. But again most sports have a tribe anyway but even without sports are attractive
