Most of you may not be aware of the ongoing Women's Cricket World Cup which is hosted in India for the first time ever.At the starting of the tournament,there were 8 teams in total but as the tournament progressed,only 4 could qualify for semi final games(water).So,it is the last semi final today and this game will soon decide who is going to be the number 2 team to qualify for the Final,which will be played on 2nd of November.
Before the game began,I knew the Aussies would definitely do well if they bat first and their innings was quite remarkable and absolutely did not disappoint!Towards the end of their innings,I was frustrated because of how fast they kept losing their wickets.
Their women batted really well but they also got lucky every now and then.The Indian team did not do good in stopping runs,their fielding was terrible.
Fun Fact: The Australian young lady who scored a century today,became the youngest cricketer (in women's)to score a century in knockout games.What is surprising about this record is that she broke it in 24 hours
.Yesterday,that record belonged to a South African cricketer and today she took it away from her.
Anyways,they ended up scoring 338 but they could've scored atleast 370-380 had they showed resistance and bit of patience in the middle.This gets more frustrating because their batting line up is quite deep,meaning they can bat up to number 8 or 9.Overall they showed great courage and their attitude was also pretty good in today's game.
Bowling -
They are currently bowling and have managed to take 2 wickets so far.I hope they somehow take 5 more wickets by the end of 45th over.They should get the job done earlier but it seems that India is here to spend a long time in the field.
They won't give up so easily because it's their house but let's hope Aussies bag a win today and advance to the Final.
Their fielding has been amazing to watch,their fielders have anticipated quite well in terms of fielding and this is something which they are famous for.
They always give their 200% when it comes to saving runs/not leaking extra runs.They run fast,save the ball from going out of their reach,show exceptional athleticism and also great game awareness.
This is how they have been able to dominate Cricket for quite a long time now.I hope they continue with their great form in fielding and save runs,so that they win this game by a big margin.
Their team is full of beautiful,bold and brave women,so no wonder why they're so good at cricket overall as a team!
