In shows/episodes featuring an autistic character, the show usually makes an effort to teach a lesson to people [kids] not to bully autistic people.
But they don't achieve this by showing that Autistic kids are just like them and are humans too.
They make the Autistic kid have some sort of special ability. Really good at baseball. Extremely intelligent. Really good at a specific skill.
This is very purposeful. They don't care about the average Autistic kid who is just a normal person except autistic [the 99%]
They care about the actual valuable to society Autistic kids who are genuinely gifted [1%] and their preservation. If you're Autistic, the world does not care about you, and neither do Neurotypical people.
