I was already nw2.5 when I started about 12 years ago. (I started minoxidil and finasteride 12 years ago, but ketoconazole shampoo, dutasteride and spironolactone 3 years ago).

For reference, I'm 32, and I started balding when I was 16, and started taking hair loss meds when I was 19 or 20. I have the same hairline now that I did when I started. Had I never gotten on anything, I would be like nw5 or worse.

Hair loss meds thickened up my vertex and my hair in front to an extent, but they didn't lower my hairline significantly. It's rare for hair loss meds to lower a hairline by that much. Hair loss meds are mainly for maintaining and thickening up areas of partial hair loss.

It thickened up the hair around the hairline but it didn't lower it significantly.

If part of your hair is thinning/diffuse, then theres a good chance minoxidil will thicken it up. But don't except minoxidil to make you go from a hard NW3 to NW1. You'd need a hair transplant for that.

My skin didn't suddenly age rapidly when I got on minoxidil, no.

Has my skin aged since I started it? Yes, but I started 12 years ago, so of course i've aged.

Would my skin look different if I never got on minoxidil? I have no way of knowing this, but I doubt it would be significantly different.

With all that said, I was aware of minoxidil damaging collagen even before I started, so I was always extremely careful with it, made sure not to get any on my face, and to thoroughly wash my face and clean it with salicylic acid pads afterwards.

Height is not a problem unless you are below average. And even if you are 1 inch below average, some thick shoes may help fix it

I've forgone peppermint oil for topical fin+minoxidil. Peppermint oil has been around long enough for it to be found as a cure.
