like no joking at my masjid every dude between 17-19 years old is at least 5'10, with the average being 6'0

im 6'2 barefoot and i barely feel above average

my masjid is mostly somalis and pashtuns who tend to be taller than average though. But i assume whites also have the same average height

and since its muslim space only, shorter ethnics like east asians and indians are omitted. They bring down the average in every study so you cant trust them.

so your actual competition is 6'0 on average

also my masjid is in toronto, it serves as a good proxy since its a racially diverse city.

When i go to the gym late at night, young zoomers attend the local mosque. There is just one guy who heightmogged me (somali guy) he was about 6'5. There was a guy who was close 6'0 something, but i edged him out at 6'1. The muslim girls are all super short, the tallest reaching my mouth area.

nah the shittiest countries in europe have at least .780 on the hdi scale while somalia has 0.361, and afghanistan has .478

the civil war, malnutrition, high stress environment stunted growth a lot. somalis in somalia are 3 cm shorter now than in the 1800s

it was the tallest country before the industrial revolution. Pakis and afghans relate too but to a lesser extent as they weren't starved as bad

If you take the average height for 19yo men in different western european countries with similar HDIs, you will find a big variance in them. Take Italy or Portugal vs the Netherlands, almost a 10cm difference in average height.

yeah genetics is a very important factor too. as long as you have enough protein and minerals in your diet, you wont be stunted in growth though. so its not diet thats causing these height differences, its entirely genetic

yeah, just like south and southeast asians are unlikely to ever have the same average height as northern europeans or other tall groups.

but supposing that the average height in your mosque truly is 6'0 (which I personally doubt or the sample is too small), then the average white in the same place/country would be at least 1-2 inches taller. just speculating though

But thats not true. Even basic anecdotal knowledge ive collected shows average height is still around 5'10. My friend is 6'1.5 at 16 hes shorter than 4 people of the 120 in our year group which puts him in the 96.6th percentile for height in our year group, a quick check using data you can find on google shows he is also in the 97.8th percentile or 96.1th percentile using two slightly different data sets. No kids are not getting taller your just noticing the tall ones and not the short ones.

Go try this on anyone you want unless they are a 99.9th percentile freak because at that point percentiles dont really work. Find someone thats around 5'11-6'2 in your year group, take the amount of people taller than them and find their percentile. Id bet money its within the average range that pins the average height at 5'9.5-10 in adult men
