I was happy tbh

The blackpill was just starting to blow up and more normies were becoming aware about the idea of Lookism and the more niche side of looksmaxxing on TikTok.

If American culture left TikTok the app would just rot and die, and I was happy, because people would return to long form stuff like YouTube and all their niche interests would actually stay niche because TikTok wouldn’t be there to popularize literally fucking everything

Think about a world without TikTok, what a paradise. Sure TikTok is fun at times, but u can’t even feel unique anymore when everything is gentrified

Idk why people have this idea that the Blackpill blew up in 2025, the only thing that did happend in this period is that a subculture and various terms from the bp became mainstream
But the bp itself was trending years before, 2023 maybe even 22

No it wasn’t man, it literally blew up in 2025 with these so called “blackpill edits”

It became a trend with hundreds of videos getting over a million likes each

Many black pill edits during the peak also averaged minimum 100k likes

If a blackpill edit was just slightly high effort you could guarantee yourself 100k likes right there

The low quality ones were also getting a bunch of likes, it went from the average being a few hundred to up to 50k for the lower quality and low effort ones

These are numbers that the “please speed I need this” meme is getting rn on TikTok, it’s literally a trend so everybody knows about it

It’s just slightly less than the speed meme
