chatgpt says it isn't safe since there aren't any studies on it and product quality could be bad. has any1 made any bad experiences with it, cause i'm lowkey really desperate for a good solution, i've got a hairline of a 35yo at 15. i'm currently using a derma roller and cope oils since my mom buys them jfl. haven't seen any receding for the last year, but i'm hoping of regrowing some thin hairs at the front.
minoxidil would be another option but hard to get where i live.
asked doc about it 1-1,5 years ago, they did a blood test and turned out i had iron deficiency. supplemented it a bit til a month ago when it ran out, and now waiting for the results of the tests i did yesterday.

I've used RU58841 during my test cycle it worked well with no bad experiences. I would also consider running topical Dutasteride, as it's been shown to regrow hair. I'm currently experimenting with an AHK-Cu spray I made myself, which also helps thicken hair follicles

he 15 no dut

also pouring androgen receptor blockers on the developing brain is probably not a good idea

also i dont think your balding at 15

"topical application leads to a much smaller reduction, with some studies showing a decrease of around 20-30%"
That's nothing and yes you can start receding at 15.

not 100% sure either, but my hairline is ass, i'm not even exaggerating, even online i've never seen a hairline this bad at 15yo.
and it's also kinda for prevention, since men from fathers and mothers side of family are also balding/bald , especially fathers side.

just hoping to keep it the way it is as long as possible and maybe even wake up some baby hairs at the hairline

Save your hairline before it’s too late, i had Norwood 2 with 16, im almost 19 now and everything grew back because i took action early

When we are talking about a fifteen-year-old child, we should tread lightly.

First off a 20-30% decrease in DHT would negatively impact development in a 15 year old regardless, even if topical only dropped 20-30% of serum dht.

Secondly, you're basing the 20-30% on "some studies". Do you think a 15-year-old has access to the exact formulation used in these studies? The exact dosing protocol used in these studies?

Absorption rates vary between different people because of skin permeability, carriers used and other factors. Even if a tiny amount of fin or dut enters the bloodstream its enough to knock down 70%+ serum dht.

Absolutly no 5AR inhibitors for people younger than 18, and even 18 isn't optimal.

What do you mean "the exact formulation used in these studies"? :feelskek: You can literally just use your dad’s ID on a site that prescribes topical dutasteride. Most of them use similar carriers like ethanol or liposomes. As long as you're not buying random garbage off fucking Alibaba you're getting a legit product. Yeah absorption varies between people but that’s exactly why the formulation matters. If you use a proper one, systemic absorption stays low there are studies that show topical dutasteride only lowers serum DHT by around 20–30%. That's compared to oral dut which tanks it by like 90%.

Also, a 20–30% drop in DHT isn’t gonna stunt puberty unless you're prepubescent and using way too much. At 15 most people have already gone through the voice change, growth spurts, facial dev yk etc. There’s no good evidence that small reductions like that do anything long term especially from a topical applied when you're not an idiot about it.

When your hairline’s gone at 18, you're gonna wish you weren’t scared of a 20% DHT drop honestly it’s way riskier to do nothing and hope for the best.
