I had bad pelvic and neck posture as a kid - I was always hunched over during meals craning my neck and back to watch tom and jerry on some tiny ass phone screen. Constantly reminded to straighten my back but never did because I didn't care at the time.
Now my gonial angle is quite high at 123 degrees (maybe higher) and my ears are also low set. My dad, who would've been more active during his developmental years compared to me and thus had better posture, has less than 120 degree gonial angle and higher set ears.
I think something similar happened with Josh McGregor. You can see he is less forward grown with a higher gonial angle and slightly lower set ears compared to his dad, which would make sense because dad didn't have a device to ruin his posture with while son Josh probably did.
(not sure if ear setness is actually related to this btw so take my statements on ear setness with a grain of salt)
