Basketball diaries starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jim Carroll and is based on a true story (for what thats worth). Its set in what i'm assuming is the 80s in new york. It's basically about some kids who drop out of school and lives without money on the steets of new york without giving away spoilers.

Don't let the name fool you though, its more about drugs than it is about basketball.

I'd recommend it, Although i dont get the hype for Leo as some 8 psl god, He looks like a handsome guy who Flash Thompson would bully.

Its message: Don't do drugs kids
