battlefield games all suck. where's the verisimilitude? invisible parachutes that are infinitely deployable whenever you fall 50 feet? that style of game probably works in a near future/sci fi setting where they can come up with ridiculous explanations like jetpacks, but it was very out of place in a non fiction setting. normies don't care about suspension of disbelief, that's why they like ostentatious super hero movies where every scene is a cgi ridden abomination and nothing looks real or plausible.

Battlefield 3 was some next level game at the time.
It's a shame that style of gameplay isn't repeated nowadays because the new generation of players requires all FPS to have sliding and looting-like features and streak-like stuff and very high pace in general, plus the cosmetic colorful elements that destroys any reminiscence of realism and historical accuracy
Last good Battlefield was BF1. From CoD 4 MW until BF1 was the golden era of FPS games.
