Let’s take a simple chocolate chip cookie. Lets price it on the higher end, about $5. Now, what goes into making this cookie?
You usually need
Lots of butter
Sugar
Brown sugar
Eggs
Vanilla extract
Flour
Baking soda
Baking powder
Salt
chocolate chips
After getting the raw ingredients you need
Somewhere to mix this all
Somewhere to bake it all
A tray to bake them on
Time to let it bake
Oven mitt to take it out
So we have this $5 Cookie which would normally take absurd amounts of time to gather the resources for and we can mass produce them for a currency which is totally made up. The current federal minimum wage is 7.25 so on the lowest possible currency you can get this delicacy with less than an HOURS WORTH of MINDLESS work, as opposed to slaving away gathering and building materials. And this only gets crazier with more complex stuff like cars and such. It really is amazing, so be grateful
