Beard is for frauding weak chin/lower third and moustache is for frauding philtrum and bad thin lips, In the case your philtrum is bad and your lips are thin so yes.

You post a lot, yes you look better with a beard but clean it up and get a stubble maybe? Have you tried fillers for your jaw? You can try that but it's pricey
