It really depends on your pheno and what look you're trying to go for. I think light stubble/designer stubble has the most broad appeal. I remember reading a study about this & the preferences of girls when it comes to beards/no beard. I think most women said that a light stubble appearance was the most attractive. If someone knows what I'm talking about here I'd appreciate the study link getting dropped.

Some people's faces aren't compatible with beards and that's fine.

It's semi-permanent, based on most reports the majority of hair grows back in about 10 years without any treatments. So really no disadvantage to it.
