The best guy in our school who tried out for an academy got rejected. Now imagine a division 1 starting player’s level.

It’s crazy.

It’s just crazy how many people in the UK think they can become a pro. Half of all children here have that aspiration.

definitely requires the most skill. basketball, baseball, american football, or hockey doesn't even come close to it

its not hard, you just need to be dumb enough to wanna become one.

imagine i started playing since early childhood, i would have been better than messi, no doubt

You would’ve had a heart attack in the first 5 minutes of the match mate

the actually hard part about being a pro player, is the insane mental pressure, the absence of mental illness, the fame, you needing to be perfect at talking - such things would be not for me.

Nobody will have the mentality to go through what I did in order to reach my level.

Talent and started extremely young. If you’re not already in an academy by like 11 it’s a wrap

nah, i used to be really good at soccer, even without much training and while being giga low iq back then i was still decent. imagine i had my iq from now back then

Average South American kid is miles ahead. All they do is play football in their spare time.

It’s true, maybe not 11, but by around 13/14. There’s a tight system in the UK. You need to be in an academy to get funnelled into their team 99% of the time.

it helps that’s for sure
but it’s not something that has to happen
this day and age there are plenty of players getting scouted until literally like 20

I'm terrible at running short distance but I can run long distance with good pace. I was always bad at soccer because I didn't have the expolsivness and didn't time my runs well

Once you get scouted, you still have to try out within the academy. If you flop, you’re out. That’s what happened to the guy I was talking about.

You also need to make decisions extremely quickly

ofc you do bro but what you don’t realise is football is way more political now
it’s not always the best player who will make it
it’s not fair but it’s how it is
