been a serious consideration again with religion

I've been considering religion to purge myself of indecent thoughts again. I struggle with drug addiction and alcoholism in the past, and homosexual tendencies that do not go away even having been fully repreived of porn and purposefully dissociating from that stuff. I've been going to confession ans trying to purge myself of it. Up until recently I also used to have issues with my family but have slowly been mending my personal relationships.

as well other stuff. I'm split between the theology of kashmiri shaivism and some schools of thought (like nyaya) of that or roman Catholic and what I know still of patristics.

even if it's cope I am to weak to tread along this world alone, so I think I'm finally cashing in my check now so to speak. I have origen open right now and I'm just gawking at all the different sorts of trinitarian theories haha.

Also just been painting recently and have been somewhat inspired by Schuon's work, the perennialist, and these Symbolist works. Does anyone have any such commentary regarding theology? I've been meaning to ask I guess here if anyone cares at all (but it's off topic so you know how that is ) I just want a complementary normal life as a pseudo artisan, not this degenerative stuff

Yeah I’m a theology and religioncel. I would say check out eastern orthodoxy, roman catholicism, hinduism, buddhism and narrow down your choice from there. I’d go with Christianity but do your own research first so you’re sure
