The first part is bullshit theres a lot of brown northern italians and here there's a lot of germanic influence (much more than you think) I see everyday a lot of blonds/gingers with pale skin and blue/green/gray eyes germanic looking people (of course southern are more likely to be brown but that's not the point). The second part is partly true but we don't hate each other that much as you might think, only some old people (both in the north and south) have extremist views, the younger generations don't usually make that much difference between north and south.
