I really think being a teenager in the 90s in America was the best time in the past century to have been alive. You can argue the 80s were better but i think the 90s were peak. I wish i was born 10 years earlier than i was but i'm still glad i'm not a zoomer. You guys don't know what you missed out on, even the 2000s were soulful.

it's not the same, technology advancing was a mistake. kaczynski was right about technology, it's evil. Social media is soulless and demonic. Technology is the fucking reason so many people are unhappy in the current year. It's cancer. Theodore truly was a very smart man to know the outcome of what would happen so many years in advance. If Humanity for the most part could remain at the technological level it was at in the 2000s, i am almost certain happiness levels would be tenfold higher globally, especially in the west.
In my house i still have the old video recorders/cameras from the early 2000s with footage of myself, it's pure soul compared to modern smart phones. The quality doesn't matter, modern technology is a fucking scam and harmful to the human soul. We aren't meant to live like this.
I don't have friends so i don't go on walks and i live in a frozen shithole island so there's that. I don't visit tiktok, i can proudly say i've never once even downloaded tiktok. Starting to think i need to take a hammer to my PC and be done with it, and only have an old smartphone as my only option of accessing the internet because i get too tired using the phone for longer than an hour anyways so that's a natural way to stop for myself.

I was born in 96 but my cousins/sibling were 5+ years older so i kinda got to experience most things they did which is why i am so nostalgic. Even 2010 feels like paradise compared to the 2020s, what a nightmare decade this has been and most likely will continue to be. Nothing good has happened since covid.

I guess i should feel good that i atleast grew up in a time where kids actually played outside, even as an early teen i would spend all day morning until night playing outside with friends, now the same kids at that age are inside all day playing fortnite or browsing tiktok, it's a joke. I hate technology, it's why i haven't upgraded any of my tech in almost a decade, my phone is 8 years old, my pc is 10 years old. I don't even want to upgrade anything when this shit dies. My phone already apps are forcing me to buy a new phone and not working but i refuse. I've finally realized the less tech in your life, the better.
I have a fuck ton of DVDs i bought in the 2000s still, i might just get a dvd player or use my old ps3 built in dvd player nad awtch stuff that way occasionally, netflix amazon prime all this shit is garbage cancer
